The plain (the main part of decoration) consists of diagonal rows of red-colored mice, alternating with yellowish flower pots projecting on dark warp. The predominant motif is the diamond (petes) with two-headed eagles, surrounded by a series of supplementary geometric motifs, such as hearts, grandfather, roses and stool in dark blue and green, red, light brown and golden colors. The keys pattern decorates the edge surrounding the wide central part of the boucharopodia.

The plain, the central part of decoration, is in dark blue background and divided into five decorative zones, each of which carries a double row of the distinctive Metsovo pattern, the Achelous River (or, aspropotamos [white river]). The central part of decoration is framed by wide edging with two-headed eagles evolving on bright red background; parallel to it, develops an outward wide edge in petrol blue background with the chiavrapattern.
